John King - Owner
Meet John King, the proud owner of Marsh Transmission. For over 40 years, John has been in the automotive industry specializing
in both foreign and domestic transmissions. John is an ASE-certified transmission specialist and was factory trained at Hydramatic. John continues to attend ATRA and ATSG seminars to stay on the cutting edge of the industry. He also serves on the advisory committee at the Automotive Service Technology Department at Portland Community College. Since 2009, John has been a member of the Sonnax TASC Force developing
the highest quality aftermarket transmission products being made today. John takes pride in providing excellent customer service and building transmissions that exceed manufacturer quality and reliability.
Ron VanZant - Lead Builder
Meet Ron VanZant, our Lead Builder. Ron has been in the transmission industry for over 25 years and is a third-generation builder. Ron is an ASE-certified transmission specialist whose standards for excellence and technical ability make him a great asset to the company and our community. An avid horseman, Ron enjoys riding and spending time outdoors with his lovely wife and their four children.
David King - R and R Technician
Meet David King, our R&R Technician. With over 8 years of general auto mechanic experience, his passion for excelling and learning is reflected in his work. Apprentice to John, David continues to progress in our industry, bringing a strong work ethic and positive attitude with him every day . In his spare time, David enjoys working on his Porsche and spending time with his girlfriend.
Paul King - General Manager
Meet Paul King, our General Manager. Paul grew up around the transmission industry and brings to the table a genuine understanding of our customers' issues. Paul’s warm attitude and willingness to help our customers embodies what we are all about: no better quality at any price. Paul enjoys spending his off time with his beautiful wife and two children.
Gerardo Cardenas - General Repair and Transmission Technician
Meet Gerardo Cardenas, our General Repair and Transmission Technician. When Gerardo started with us, he was already a great general repair technician, having been a mechanics instructor in Mexico. Now with 10 years of transmission experience, he has become one of the best builders in the state. He specializes in front-wheel drive imports like Volvo, Toyota, and Honda. He has a terrific mechanical aptitude and is fluent in both English and Spanish. In his off time, Gerardo spends time with his family and is very active in Aztec cultural festivals and dances.
